The conference will be held at the Q Lecture Theatre (Level 5) in Sunway University’s brand-new campus expansion at Sunway Square. Connected by a pedestrian link bridge to the main campus, it houses the Sunway Business School, the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, state-of-the-art media studios, and the 1,300-seat Jeffrey Cheah Performing Arts Centre.

Sunway University is located within the interconnected Sunway City, seamlessly linking the public road network, public transport, and the nation’s first elevated Bus Rapid Transit (BRT)-Sunway Line. Eco-friendly electric buses serve at 7 stations, linking the Light Rail Transit (LRT). Ideal for those staying in Kuala Lumpur or nearby suburbs. Offers a reliable and affordable way to reach campus. Nearest Station:

SunU–Monash BRT Station – Directly adjacent to Sunway University.

Other Parking Options:

If you’re driving, the most convenient car park would be in Sunway Square itself, but there are also several public parking options available nearby. All parking areas are connected to the university via the Canopy Walk, a covered pedestrian bridge offering safe and shaded access.

Campus Policies

No Smoking/Vaping

Please be reminded that smoking is prohibited in Sunway University and areas surrounding the University. This prohibition covers all forms of smoking including cigarettes (real or electronic), vapes, pipes and other smoking utensils.

 

Bring Water Bottle – Plastic-free campus

Sunway University is a straw and plastic free campus. Kindly bring your own water bottle. You may refill at the water refilling stations located at all levels of the campus.

 

No Drugs/Alcohol

The University prohibits drug usage and alcohol intoxication (regardless of age); unauthorized possession, use, consumption, manufacture, sale, or distribution of drugs and/or alcohol; and driving while impaired due to drug or alcohol consumption will not be tolerated around the University’s premises.

 

No Gambling – Illegal under Malaysian law

Any game of chance or of mixed chance for money or money’s worth is strictly prohibited on the University’s Premises. Please take note that such activities are illegal in Malaysia and may therefore be construed to be a criminal offence under the LAWS OF MALAYSIA, ACT 495, BETTING ACT 1953 and ACT 289, COMMON GAMING HOUSES ACT 1953.

International participants planning to attend the conference at Sunway University, Malaysia, should be aware of the following visa requirements and support options:

Visa Application Type:

Most attendees will require a Short-Term Social Visit Pass, suitable for attending academic conferences, seminars, and workshops. Required Documents:

  • Valid passport (minimum 6 months validity)
  • Official invitation letter from Sunway University
    • Travel itinerary and proof of accommodation
  • Financial Proof and Return Ticket
    • Additional documents (e.g., university ID, employment letter)
